Dehradun, Jan. 6 -- As directed by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority and under the orders of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Almora, Shachi Sharma, vocational training programmes are being organised for inmates detained in the District Jail, Almora.

Its objective is to make inmates self-reliant and integrate them into the mainstream of society.

In the programme, Keshav Dutt Sati, an instructor at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Almora, is providing ten-day plumbing training to male inmates. Meanwhile, Adhikar Mitra Neeta Negi is providing 15-day training to female inmates on making baskets and pen stands from pine leaves.
