Dehradun, May 10 -- The Uttarakhand government has asserted that its crackdown on corruption continues, with Vigilance officials arresting the Chief Treasurer and Accountant Treasury, Nainital, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakhs. The action was taken on Friday as part of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's directive for strict and swift action against corruption.
Over the past three years, the state government has claimed to have implemented a Zero Tolerance on Corruption policy, leading to the arrest of more than 150 officials, employees, and mafias involved in corrupt practices.
