Dehradun, May 1 -- Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) has voiced strong disapproval regarding the ongoing works of the Smart City project and the 'worsening state' of the city. Speaking to Garhwal Post, UKD's Mahanagar President Vijendra Rawat shared that the party has decided to make the people aware of the fact that the Dehradun Municipal Corporation has unlawfully established a garbage dumping zone in the vicinity of Kargi Chowk, in utter disregard of the prescribed norms of urban governance. He stated that the party would stage a strong public protest against the smart city projects and against illegal dumping in Doon on 1 May.
