Dehradun, Feb. 1 -- Uttarakhand secured the silver medal after a hard-fought battle in the thrilling final of the men's beach handball event at the 38th National Games being played in the state. The team narrowly lost to Services with a 2-1 scoreline in the final match.
The match, played on the sand courts of Shivpuri, Tehri, saw Uttarakhand take an early lead by winning the first set 21-18. However, Services staged a strong comeback in the second set, winning 17-11 and pushing the match into a tense shootout. In the decisive shootout, Services edged out Uttarakhand 5-4 to clinch the Gold Medal.
