Dehradun, April 16 -- The Grenadiers Regiment mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Lt General Yogi Tomar, PVSM (Retd), who passed away on the evening of 12 April at the Military Hospital, Dehradun.
Gen Tomar's association with The Grenadiers began at the age of 20 when he was commissioned into the 4th Battalion. Throughout his illustrious career, he held several esteemed Command and Staff positions, including Commanding 14 Grenadiers, leading the 57 Mountain Division, heading the 1 Corps,
serving as Military Advisor to the High Commissioner in Malaysia, Commandant of the College of Combat, Commandant of the Indian Military Academy, Adjutant General of the Indian Army.
