Dehradun, Jan. 31 -- The Uttarakhand High Court has done well to take 'suo moto' cognizance of the ugly gun fight between the two Bahubalis of Roorkee - Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion and Umesh Kumar Patrakar (this was the name under which he unsuccessfully contested for the Lok Sabha from Haridwar). Both happen to be actively engaged in politics - one is the current and, the other, a former legislator who has enjoyed 'cabinet rank' in dispensations of, both, the Congress and the BJP. While Pranav has eight cases against him, Umesh Kumar has over fourteen. Umesh Kumar is also one of the few independent candidates who has managed to win elections.
