Dehradun, 20 Jun: A 14-year-old boy suffered a severe electric shock after coming into contact with exposed wires inside a temple located in the Garhi Cantt area. The boy's father has filed a formal complaint at the Garhi Cantt Police Station, holding the temple committee's president responsible for negligence.
According to the complaint, Colonel Nishit Thakur (Retd), a resident of Sangam Vihar, Dakra, had gone to the temple with his wife and two sons for evening prayers. During the visit, his elder son Aniruddh Singh Thakur came in contact with open electric wires inside the temple premises and got a severe electric shock. He fell unconscious on the spot.
