Rudrapur, Feb. 10 -- The newly built Multipurpose Hall in Rudrapur was inaugurated today by the Sports Minister, Rekha Arya, for the 38th National Games Handball Competition.

On this occasion, she stated that this Multipurpose Hall has been constructed for the National Games and will prove to be very helpful for athletes in the future. Arya mentioned that Rudrapur has been gifted three sports facilities: a Cycling Velodrome, the Multipurpose Hall, and a Shotgun Shooting Range, which will help in preparing Olympic-level athletes in the future. She further stated that, if India gets the opportunity to host the Olympics in 2036, Rudrapur would be a strong contender to host Olympic events as well.
