Dehradun, May 31 -- Raj Bhawan Secretary Ravinath Raman today clarified that a news report published in Amar Ujala regarding an ordinance related to Gram Panchayats pending in Raj Bhawan is factually incorrect and misleading. It may be recalled that a report was published in Amar Ujala with the heading, "The ordinance stuck at Raj Bhawan, 7478 Gram Panchayats remain vacant all day". Raman stated that the Gram Panchayat ordinance was received from the government department concerned only yesterday. Prior to this, Raj Bhawan had not received any such ordinance, and hence, there was no question of delay or pendency.
