DEHRADUN, 3 Jan: BJP's State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan on Saturday stated that the person accused of making derogatory remarks against women has no connection with the party and that the party strongly condemns such statements. Without naming the person, Chauhan was reportedly referring to a recent statement made by husband of Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, Girdhari Lal Sahu.

Chauhan alleged that the Congress is not only fuelling misinformation in connection with the Ankita Bhandari case but is also extending it patronage for political purposes.
