Dehradun, Feb. 12 -- The Uttarakhand government is set to introduce a paperless system for registration of land sale and purchase deeds across the state. Speaking informally with media persons, Finance and Revenue Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal shared that all necessary preparations are complete in this regard. The system will be implemented once it receives final approval from the state cabinet.

Aggarwal shared that while scanned copies of registered documents are currently maintained in registry offices under the Stamp and Registration Department, the government is now upgrading the system to return original documents digitally to the parties concerned.
