DEHRADUN, 27 Dec: OPS Negi, former Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University and a renowned doctorate and physicist, has been appointed as the new Ombudsman of Doon University for a period of three years. A letter issued by the Registrar states that this appointment has been made in compliance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission.

It is noteworthy that the previous Ombudsman of the university was RD Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University. Negi's appointment comes after the completion of Sharma's three-year term.
