Dehradun, May 25 -- The Sports Department has clarified that, while several sports complexes in Uttarakhand have been renamed, the names of individual stadiums and existing infrastructure remain totally unchanged. The department has claimed that this decision aims to improve identification for players and visitors participating in competitions hosted at these venues.
It may be recalled that certain media reports have been recently claiming that the government has renamed the famous Vandana Kataria Hockey Stadium in Haridwar along with the names of certain other stadiums in Uttarakhand.
