Dehradun, July 19 -- The promise of flexibility, independence, and technological ease have attracted millions of drivers to app-based ride-hailing platforms in recent years. However, rising commissions, unclear policies, arbitrary suspensions, and lack of protections turned that promise into frustration for many. These challenges, experienced by over three million gig drivers across India, highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive and enforceable regulation.
