Dehradun, Feb. 19 -- Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal and Chief Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal flagged off 15 electric garbage vehicles from the Dehradun Municipal Corporation (Doon Nagar Nigam) premises today. These vehicles, operated by the Doon Municipal Corporation, Dehradun, will collect garbage from slum areas along the Rispana River.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Thapliyal emphasised that this initiative marks a significant step for the corporation in the Swachhta Survey. Chief Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal shared that a cleanliness and sanitation awareness campaign is also being conducted in the densely populated areas along the Rispana River.
