Haridwar, July 29 -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday visited the District Hospital in Haridwar and met with the victims injured in the stampede that occurred earlier in the day at the Mansa Devi Temple.
He also travelled to AIIMS Rishikesh to meet those who were seriously injured.
During his visit, the Chief Minister directed hospital authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for all injured persons.
Speaking to the media, CM Dhami said, "The incident took place around 9 a.m. today. Preliminary reports suggest that a rumour of an electric current sparked panic among devotees.
