Dehradun, Jan. 27 -- Despite tall claims by the Forest Department regarding curbing wildlife poaching and illegal trade in wildlife products and strengthening conservation efforts in Uttarakhand, incidents involving the smuggling of wildlife parts continue to surface on a regular basis. In a latest incident reported from the Srinagar area of Pauri district, police have arrested four persons who had arrived in the town to sell a leopard skin. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused persons under the Wildlife Protection Act.
