Roorkee, June 4 -- Haridwar Police have arrested Ramzan, a Director of Iqbalpur Sugar Mill, in connection with a Rs 9 crore case involving fraudulent agreements related to the sugar mill's land. Following his arrest, panic has spread among other employees, while the sugar mill owner and other co-accused remain at large.

The case surfaced on 4 February, when Harsh Sharma, son of Samrat Sharma and a resident of Hallu Majra village under Bhagwanpur police station, filed a complaint at Jhabrera police station. Sharma alleged that the owner and employees of Iqbalpur Sugar Mill committed a fraud of Rs 9 crore by forging agreements for the mill's land. He also accused them of assault.
