Dehradun, 29 Jul: Illegal mining activities were discovered today at a construction site near Kuthalgate by the district administration. Four vehicles were seized, and a fine of Rs 7.20 lakh was imposed for the illegal mining.

After receiving complaints regarding illegal mining activities, District Magistrate Savin Bansal directed the SDM of Mussoorie to take immediate action.

Following the DM's instructions, a team from the district administration and police reached the site. During the inspection, one JCB, one Poclain machine, and two pickup vehicles used for transporting mining materials were found at the site. All the vehicles were seized.
