Dehradun, May 20 -- A cyber fraudster, posing as a bank customer care executive, duped a trainee officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) of Rs 98,000. The victim was tricked during a phone call in which the scammer convinced her to share the banking details.

According to the information, the officer, Pratiksha Nanasahib Kale, is currently undergoing training at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun. Pratiksha said she received a new credit card from ICICI Bank on February 15. On March 25, around 6 PM, she got a phone call from a person claiming to be from the bank's customer care.
