Dehradun, May 3 -- The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh warning of heavy rain across Uttarakhand for the next five days, raising concerns over possible disruptions in the plains and hill districts. Today, several parts of Dehradun, Haridwar, and nearby areas, and also some districts in Kumaon region, witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic slowdowns.

As per the forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, Dehradun, an Orange Alert has been declared for Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts for 2 May, while Yellow Alerts have been issued for the rest of the districts.
