Dehradun, Jan. 28 -- The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has completed one year of implementation in Uttarakhand today. While the state government is celebrating the day as UCC Day today, the Opposition is reacting sharply over the UCC. While the Dhami government marked the occasion with programmes highlighting the achievements of the code, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat today launched a strong attack on the BJP. He described the UCC as an attack on Sanatan Dharma. Reacting from Delhi, Rawat said it made little difference how much the BJP praised itself over what it termed a historic achievement.
