Dehradun, 21 Aug: Senior Congress leader and former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat has levelled serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that the party created a fixed deposit (FD) of Rs 30 crores using funds collected through the state's mining operations. The statement has stirred political debate in Uttarakhand, with Rawat asserting that he had himself contributed over Rs 1 crore to the FD during his tenure as Forest Minister.
