DEHRADUN, 20 Sept: On Saturday, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) visited the disaster-affected areas of Dehradun district. He conducted on-site inspections of the damage caused by the heavy rainfall on the 15 and 16 of this month and reviewed the relief and reconstruction work.
The Governor first reached the Collectorate, where he was briefed by District Magistrate Savin Bansal about the disaster. The DM informed that as soon as the disaster information was received, the administration immediately reached the affected areas and began rescue and relief operations.
