DEHRADUN, May 5 -- Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), on Saturday met with a 10-member delegation led by Kamal Bahadur Shah, Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Nepal, at the Raj Bhawan. The meeting focused on exploring possibilities of working together in border areas to further strengthen the long-standing ties between Uttarakhand and Nepal.
Welcoming the delegation to Uttarakhand, the Governor stated that India and Nepal have shared close and cordial relations for many decades. He emphasized the importance of joint development in border districts, mutual assistance during disasters, and the promotion of religious and cultural tourism.
