Dehradun, March 27 -- The 16th General Assembly meeting of the State Child Welfare Council, Uttarakhand, was held on Tuesday at the Raj Bhavan, here, under the chairmanship of Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd). During the meeting, the Governor emphasised the need for the council to incorporate new schemes in line with modern-day requirements and stressed the importance of achieving financial self-reliance.

The Governor directed Secretary Ravinath Raman and Chandresh Kumar Yadav to develop a roadmap for strengthening the council financially and integrating modern technology into its initiatives.
