Dehradun, 31 Dec: Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) planted tulip bulbs in the Lok Bhawan complex, here, today. This year, a total of 4,000 tulip bulbs of 19 different varieties and colours are being planted at Lok Bhawan. These include early, mid, and late varieties of tulip bulbs, which will remain in bloom until the Spring Festival 2025. During the Spring Festival, tulip flowers-especially in black, orange, and purple-will be the main attractions.

For the first time in the state, 200 tulip bulbs of two varieties were planted experimentally at the Lok Bhawan, and the results were extremely encouraging. Subsequently, new varieties of tulip bulbs are being planted continuously.
