Dehradun, Dec. 17 -- Chamoli police have arrested a fugitive who had been absconding for 25 years in the Himigiri Plantation scam case. The accused is wanted in connection with defrauding the public of lakhs of rupees by promising to double their investments. He was apprehended yesterday from Fata in Rudraprayag district.
The Police sources have shared that a case of serious fraud was registered at Gopeshwar Police Station in 2001 on a complaint by Shiv Prasad, a resident of Kalimath in Rudraprayag district.
