Dehradun, 6 Feb: The Governor and Chancellor, Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd), has appointed Dr Bhanu Duggal as the Vice-Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun.

Dr Bhanu Duggal is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh.

Dr Duggal has been appointed Vice-Chancellor for a term of five years from the date she assumes charge, or until she attains the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
