Dehradun, March 15 -- The district administration claims to be committed to the Chief Minister's pledge of public safety. District Magistrate and CEO of Smart City Ltd, Savin Bansal, upon assuming charge, had conducted thorough review meetings of the CCTV cameras installed for public safety in the city, resulting in the activation of previously inactive cameras.
In the past one month, 60 cameras, including those at Mussoorie Diversion and Sai Mandir, along Rajpur Road and other key locations, have been activated. This proved instrumental in assisting the police to track down a car involved in a hit-and-run incident yesterday.
