Dehradun, March 19 -- Cabinet Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the CM's residence today and formally submitted his resignation from his ministerial post.

Following the submission, Chief Minister Dhami forwarded Aggarwal's resignation to the Governor for further action.

Aggarwal took this action amid growing demands for his dismissal following his controversial remarks against the Pahadi community during the budget session.
