Dehradun, March 22 -- BJP leader and former president of the Uttarakhand Andolankari Parishad, Ravindra Jugran, met Uttarakhand Home Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, here, today.

Jugran informed the Home Secretary that on 18 August 2024, the Uttarakhand government had issued a notification granting 10% horizontal reservation in state services to Uttarakhand movement activists and their dependants. However, on 24 Novermber 2024, the Home Department (Section 8) issued an order to all district magistrates stating that dependants of those who were already employed or retired under the movement activist quota in government service would not be issued dependant certificates.
