Dehradun, 30 Jan: Pre-SIR activities are being carried out across Uttarakhand with the objective of strengthening voter outreach and verification. This is being done as per the guidelines laid down by Election Commission of India. Under the direction of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr BVRC Purushottam, a comprehensive Booth Level Officer (BLO) Outreach Campaign is being undertaken currently to ensure effective coordination, communication and access to every voter in the state. As part of this initiative, mapping of 75 percent of the state's voters has been successfully completed during the first phase.
