Haridwar, 1 Sep: Sonipat MP and former president of Haridwar Nagar Palika Satpal Brahmachari said today that the 'Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin', associated with the Udasin sect, has made a significant contribution in the propagation of Sanatan Dharma, which can never be forgotten. Satpal Brahmachari was speaking on the occasion of Udasin sect founder Sri Chand's birth anniversary celebrations organised at the Akhara in Kankhal today.

This Akhara was established by Baba Pritam Das Maharaj at Har ki Pauri in Haridwar on Basant Panchami in 1825 AD. The guide and acharya of this Akhara was Sri Chand, the eldest son of Guru Nanak Dev. His 531st birth anniversary was celebrated with great pomp to...
