India, Sept. 23 -- OpenAI is expanding its budget-friendly AI services, ChatGPT Go plan in Indonesia. The plan is priced at Rp 75,000 (approx USD 4.50) per month.

OpenAI's first introductory price for the AI service in India was at Rs. 399 per month (approx USD 4.5), and as the country is already a major market for ChatGPT, with millions of users, the number of paid subscribers doubled in India. The key to the India launch was not just the lower price point, but also the integration of local payment methods. OpenAI enabled support for the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), a widely used digital payment system in India.
