India, May 14 -- India is stepping forward in semiconductor innovation with the inauguration of its first-ever 3-nanometer (3nm) chip design centres. Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Railways, and Information & Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated the two new state-of-the-art facilities of Renesas Electronics India Private Limited in Noida and Bengaluru.
The new centres mark a major milestone in India's semiconductor journey, becoming the country's first design hubs focused on 3nm chip technology, one of the most advanced processes in global semiconductor design.
