India, Dec. 26 -- HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, announced its plan to acquire Wobby, a Belgian startup specialising in artificial intelligence. Based in Antwerp, Wobby develops AI "agents" designed to automate data analysis within corporate data warehouses. The transaction is valued at approximately EURO 4.5 million (USD 5.2 million) and consists of a 100% cash payment.
The deal follows a structured payment schedule. HCLSoftware will pay EURO 3.0 million when the deal closes, followed by two installments of EURO 0.75 million on the first and second anniversaries of the closing date.
