India, July 19 -- Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Electronics and IT, Government of India, has announced that India will get its first-ever Made in India semiconductor chip in 2025 itself.

Speaking at the 85th foundation day of Keshav Memorial Educational Society in Hyderabad, he said that India is going to become one of the most important semiconductor nations in the world. The Indian government has already approved six semiconductor plants, and their construction is currently going on.
