India, Sept. 2 -- The Department of Posts (DoP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Esri India Technologies, a leading Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions provider, to enhance its DIGIPIN portal.

Through this collaboration, DoP will gain access to Esri India's high-resolution imagery and street basemaps, while DIGIPIN will also be integrated with Esri India's Living Atlas portal, making it accessible to the wider GIS community. Esri India will provide technical support to ensure the smooth integration of services.

The partnership aims to strengthen DIGIPIN's role as a robust, citizen-friendly digital addressing system by combining DoP's extensive postal network with Esri India's advanced mapping technology.
