India, Aug. 6 -- Capgemini India announced plans to recruit between 40,000 and 45,000 employees this year. The hiring drive, confirmed by Capgemini India CEO Ashwin Yardi in an interview with The Hindu Business Line, reflects a push to expand the company's workforce and meet growing client demands.
The recruitment strategy includes a mix of experienced professionals and fresh graduates. According to Yardi, about 35% to 40% of the new hires will be lateral hires, bringing in seasoned talent. The remaining positions will go to new graduates from over 50 colleges in India with which Capgemini has partnered. The company currently has around 175,000 employees in India.
