India, May 20 -- Bharat Seva Kendra (BSK), a large-scale rural empowerment initiative, has been launched to transform the socio-economic landscape of rural India by bringing essential services directly to citizens in even the most remote villages.

The initiative is led by Bharat Seva Kendra and supported by a wide grassroots network of 2.5 lakh sarpanches and 6.5 lakh BSK Sarthis. It operates in collaboration with both central and state governments to improve access to government schemes and services.

BSK is being rolled out nationwide, with a special focus on rural and remote areas where access to government services has traditionally been limited. The initiative was officially introduced in May 2025.
