Colombo, March 30 -- No reports of any Sri Lankans in Lebanon contracting coronavirus, Shani Calyaneratne Karunaratne said.

Speaking over the telephone from Baabda, Sri Lankan Ambassador Karunaratne said that all Sri Lankans who had gone to Lebanon, most of them for employment, were safe and had not been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

"We have established hotlines in Sinhala, Tamil, English and Arabic, for our citizens based here to contact us in an emergency,"Karunaratne noted.

She said that the Embassy staff numbering 28, were working from both office and home and could be contacted in an emergency.
