Jakarta, March 21 -- State telecommunication operator PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk has completed the sea cable communication system (SKLL) project called Indonesia Global Gateway (IGG), making the country one of the global digital hubs.
"We have completed the IGG sea cable project which makes Indonesia one of the hubs for global internet traffic," Telkom Indonesia Director of Wholesale and International Services Abdus Somad Arief said in a press statement released on Thursday.
The operation of the IGG sea cable connects Europe and America through Indonesia, he said.
"SKKL South East Asia-United States (SEA-US) and Southeast Asia Middle East West Europe 5 (SEA-ME-WE 5) are connected by IGG, which connects Dumai to Manado," he said.
