Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- The government had conducted intensive coordination with the pharmaceutical industry to guarantee the availability of medicines during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a press release received by the Ministry of Health in Jakarta on Wednesday, Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices for the Ministry of Health, Engko Sosialine Magdalene, affirmed that most of the required drugs were produced by the domestic pharmaceutical industry and their raw materials have entered Indonesia since early April 2020.

"As of September 21, 2020, drugs for handling COVID-19 have been distributed to 34 provincial health offices and 746 hospitals," he revealed.
