India, Jan. 21 -- Shoranur Junction is the largest railway station in Kerala; however, it lacks even the most basic facilities. There are no toilets at the first platform for the passengers. There was a ladies' toilet there, but it is now closed.

The deputy station manager, Sathish Babu, said that there are toilets on the second platform, which is in the first-class waiting room. There is a pay-and-use toilet at the 6th platform of the railway station. He had no answer as to why there were no sufficient toilet facilities in the station.
