Bangladesh, March 16 -- US President Donald Trump has fiercely criticized media reports alleging that his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, faced extended delays before meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Trump dismissed these claims as “fake news,” insisting that Witkoff encountered no wait before his crucial discussions with the Russian leader.

In a post on Truth Social on March 15, Trump refuted claims made by Sky News and other outlets that Witkoff had been kept waiting for at least eight hours before being summoned into the Kremlin. “The Fake News, as usual, is at it again!” Trump wrote, adding that “no wait whatsoever” occurred for Witkoffs meeting with Putin.
