Bangladesh, Jan. 27 -- Prior to and during the 2024 presidential election in the United States, the Biden administration tried everything legal (and not-so-legal) in its power to prevent Donald Trumps candidacy from moving forward. This included weaponizing federal institutions against Trump and his allies. The Republican majority took his side (although there was a sizeable minority that wasnt as keen to see him in power), so most GOP-run states announced theyd use their constitutionally guaranteed powers to prevent anti-Trump moves. The Biden administration responded with more (ab)use of federal institutions and authority, while DNC-controlled states backed them with threats to ban Trump from even running in their jurisdictions.
