Ethiopia, June 22 -- Ethiopia has bagged about 2.9 billion US dollars from this year exports, according to the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The income is generated from the export of agricultural, manufacturing and mineral products during the last eleven months.

The amount is 61 percent of the planned amount to be generated during the stated period.

As compared the amount earned during the same period last year, it is less by 7.61 percent.

The Ministry has indicated through a statement it sent to Walta that efforts are being made to fill the gaps in the coming months by working together with stakeholders in the sector.
