India, Sept. 16 -- Google Cloud has been awarded a 400 million pound contract to develop a UK sovereign cloud capability for the Ministry of Defence (MOD). The initiative aims to provide a secure and flexible cloud platform that will support innovation while ensuring enhanced control over sensitive data.
This agreement aligns with the MOD's broader objectives, as set out in the Strategic Defence Review, to adopt advanced cloud infrastructure in support of secure information processing, including the integration of modern cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
