India, Nov. 6 -- Starlink, the satellite internet company founded by Elon Musk under SpaceX, is preparing to launch its services in India. The company has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Government of Maharashtra to expand high-speed satellite broadband connectivity across the state. The development was announced by Maharashtra's chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis.

Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink, was in Mumbai to formalise the collaboration with the state government. The partnership will begin once all necessary licences and clearances are in place. Initially, Starlink plans to focus on business-to-business (B2B) services, while gradually expanding into the business-to-consumer (B2C) market.
